Photographer's Note

This is a special place in Budapest.Being a well known place can be considered a cliché.

Chain Bridge has become one of the most famous sights of Budapest. Bridge connects Buda and Pest across the Danube between. Offers one of the best views in town, with all the majesty of the Danube which finds its way under the bridge. Panorama can be seen in time is much more fascinating when the city lights illuminate dark river.
Large width of the Danube made it necessary to build a bridge that is suspended from chains. Two massive stone standing support robust iron structure weighs 5,200 tons. The bridge has a length of 375 meters and a width of 16 meters. Distance between legs is 202 meters.

There are two statues of lions stand guard at both ends of the bridge. It is said that the artist forgot to carve lions tongues. During the inauguration ceremony of a child made a remark on this issue and sculptor became very anxious and jumped off the bridge into the Danube.

ancora una volta questo celebre e bellissimo ponte tra Buda e Pest, ma questa volta impreziosito da una ripresa all'ora blu per un effetto spettacolare, favorito anche da una magnifica scelta del POV.

The warm glow fill lights on the bridge help to eye to focus into the image, a fabulous shot at blue hour with excellent clarity and details. The pov leads through to the significant building in the distance and warm glows well set off to blue night sky boosting the general contrast. The streaking reds add the hint of motion and sheen on the water that works a treat. Great works, it's a splendid night shot well

Hi Ovidiu,
the architecture of the Chains Bridge and of the Cathedral is magnificent, and in your composition we can enjoy it with an elegant lighting at the blue hour. I like the fantastic contrast between the illuminated city and the sky still a bit blue.
The effect of star-shape in the points of light, because of a high F value, is the cherry on the cake.

I will never get tired of seeing this scene and this subject.
the white lights provide a wicked contrast for the royal blues, and i like the height/depth thats created too.

Hi Ovidiu!

I think I have seen this semi similar image in Andre's gallery, seems that this POV is quite popular! Nevertheless, a stunning scenery! I just love how the bridge is directly in front of the building (is that the parliament one?). Anyway, I just find lack of sharpness in this image, but still, wonderful work regardless! TFS!

un taglio verticale che ben si addice al ponte delle catene, il più famoso delle città di Budapest.
