Photographer's Note

Nothing special, just a couple descending from the castle to the lower parts of the city. In the bg you can see Danube and the building of the Parliament.

Nikon D700, Nikon 24-70 AFs, at 55 mm at f11, 1/50, iso 800. Though I introduced this series as being strictly a BW series, I was tempted by the colours on this one to make an exception.

The stark contrast of the two figs at the bottom third is a vital focal point in this winter landscape, and they subsequently guide the eye beyond. Great work keeping the whole image in proper exposure. Well done

Hello György,
Here is a postcard at the top (but a very good one with superb blueish tones), and a nothing special kind of street-shot in the lower two thirds. I like the deep perspective downwards and of course the two persons going down the staircase. The brown leaves fill the central area nicely. As you probably already noticed I like this very much.

Hi Gyorgy,
I've visited Budapest long time ago, in 1976, and I notice in your photo this view on the city from the castle has not changed, still is wonderful.
I like the cold atmosphere of a grey and cloudy winter day, that we can feel in the photo, and its great depth sense.
It's a good work.
