Photographer's Note

For those of you who know me well on TE, you'll know I have a strong and healthy passion for anything abandoned. It could the homes, buildings, vehicles, boats...just about anything and everything.

The more its in decay the better :)

Thats where this home comes in. It caught my attention immediately when I walked down the street in Isafjordur. I was SO surprised to see a local actually walk IN!

I was standing around it, walking around it, thinking nobody lives here. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong.

When I saw this man walk up to the door and then go inside, I so badly wanted to follow him. Perhaps its a low cost hostel or something...i'm not sure.

But the rust and poor condition of the home certainly screams out do not enter. Anyways, I loved this moment, and had to capture it.

In the WS you can view 2 more photos. One is a close up, and one is pulled back further so you can see the home. Perhaps now I'll start posting more of my abandoned subjects in Iceland, what do you think?
