Photographer's Note

Since the first 3 days in Iceland had been a vain attempt to cycle south facing the wind, we at last drop the idea and followed the direction of the wind: north. From Borgarnes up to the Sneafelsnes we followed a little road through the Myrar area, the wind racing with us, us racing thanks to the wind, 35 km/h without even really cycling. We reached at the end of the day a restricted area where fishermen meet, and got the exceptionnal authorization to camp there for a night - funny story, the guard was very fond of a french family he knew and since we are french let us stay there. The landscape was marvellous, all flat around us up to the horizon where small mountains were enjoying a fantastic sunset. As usual the weather was chaotic, heavy clouds fighting with the bright blue sky. We were among sheeps and birds. Well it was lovely, and the sun played hide-and-seek with the clouds for a couple of hours, producing these beautiful views...

Check there and look for the "photos" section for more images.
