Photographer's Note

We all have photos in our mind we want to take way before we actually visit the place. Lupine fields were definitely one of those visions for me before going to Iceland. After arrival to Iceland I had a chance to photograph some fields with reasonably good light before this shot, however when we stopped at these scene, I knew it was a winner for me. It was bit adventurous as we had to cross an electric fence (functioning) to get to this field, for that we have been rewarded with amazing light, misty mood, beautiful colors in the sky and nearly no wind which allowed me to take 10s exposure without blurring lupine flowers.

Lupin is an invasive plant alien in the Icelandic Ecosystem. One of the main objectives of founding national parks is to ensure that nature develops in accordance with its own laws. In a national park where it may be necessary to counter the process of erosion, species native to the area should be used to restore vegetation. In Skaftafell, lupin seeds were sown in barren areas in the Bæjarstaður forest in order to stop erosion. After Skaftafell was designated as a national park and protected from the grazing of sheep, the lupin began to infiltrate other plant communities and spread quickly. In the period 1982-1988 the lupin-covered area in Skaftafell increased seventeenfold.

great ambiance, the colors in the sky are simple lovely, the foreground flowers are nice.
I might raise two little drawbacks concerning the horizon line which lies in the middle of the picture and seems tilted to the left, what do you think?

Ahoj Lucko,

Opet prvotridni prace, myslim, ze to je opravdu TOP class co a jak fotis. Jen pokracuj a vytrvej, je nadherne pozorovat tve fotky a mista co jsi navstivila.
Nadherna kompozice, barvy, moment, technika jak jsi to vyfotila a pekny popis k fotce :)
Dal bych ti vic bodiku ale je tu jen smajlik :)

Un paysage magnifique baignant dans une très belle lumière bleue qui s'adapte parfaitement au champ de fleurs. J'aime beaucoup la manière dont tu as cadré. Les montagnes à peine évanouie sont splendide sous ce magnifique ciel !
