Photographer's Note

From the cold, unfriendly, but extremely beautiful glacier areas to this beautiful fairytale like place.

The fall, Godafoss (The fall of gods) is located on the north of Iceland, a couple of miles outside Akureyri.
I have been told several stories behind the name of this fall, one is simply that the beauty of this place could not have been for anyone but the Gods, therefore the name Godafoss.
The other story tells about when Iceland became christian 1000 yeras ago, the pictures of the old nordic gods were thrown into this waterfall.

Anyhow, among all the waterfalls I have seen I think this one is a favourite, so beautiful, the colours, the clean, chrystal clear water, the way the water falls down on the three different places.
I thought this one deserved a almost centered position.

Tech stuff: Scanned from 135 mm, cropped and rezised for TE. Auto levels, saturation +10, darkened a little bit, USM, added a frame.

Please tell me what you think!
