Photographer's Note

Kilkenny is a nice town, - it has an interesting castle and an awe-inspiring cathedral. It`s one of those typical Irish towns, very much similar to Killarney (in which a spent more time), with an old center, loads of pubs, youth hostels and beautiful architecture. You can always read more about it on Wikipedia if you`re interested, can`t you. :)
I`ve been told that people come to get married here (in the castle), from Dublin and other parts of the country, with that come the stag and hen parties. So you can imagine what how lively the town is on the weekends.

Hi Miha,
the sky might be overexposed, but the rest of the image is a real beauty, great POV with the fence leading the eye towards the bridge. The reflections are very nice and the castle is a great motive. Very good work!

There are reasons I like this shot, Miha.
Composing from the right side with repetition of the metalic pillors...would had given you immense pleasure.
The presence of flowers in the middle of the shot greets the visitors to this place.
The reflections atract.
Though you have written about the castle and this Castle is an integral part of thiws shot.......yet the bridge overpowers the beauty.

most of all I like the harmony of the colours in your composition! And then the light, although there is a problem with the sky. (First lesson I learned at TE: try to avoid a white sky!)

I must admit I have never been to Kilkenny and I have a good friend from here - They have a brilliant hurling team also!! Excellent scene with a brightness to it, which shows how clear it is here. The castle in the background has very good defintion and you have superb reflections in the water. I like the metal fencing used to lead our eye into the bridge then castle. Colours, sharpness and clarity is all very good here.
