Photographer's Note
Malin Head on the Inishowen Peninsula.
If you listen to the shipping forecast, you will have heard the name of Malin Head before.
A very windy place, not quite the most northerly in Ireland, but near enough.
"The forces that created Malin Head also shaped its landscape.
Four levels of shoreline can be seen at Ballyhillin. The land here is rising, leaving behind evidence of ancient beaches."
(From an information board at the site.)
If you are ever in the area, this place is well worth a visit.
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
A beautiful view of this green landscape dotted with white rocks with also the coastline in the background. A cloudy and grey day, but the landscape managed to add an attractive green to the photo, but then of course this is Ireland!

Hi Jean
Its Got a 3d Feel to it, such natural beauty and I like how the foreground ruggedness leads to the rolling green and eventually out to the water, and those clouds are great! Lots going on and super composition, the image has great depth too. Excellent shot.
Best regards

Hello Jean,
This is one of those cases where the larger version really offers so much more. I thought the white specks in the distance were just rocks like those in the foreground, so I was nicely surprised to find out they were actually a village. It is nicely located with a good view of the sea, maybe the victim of strong winds now and then, as the note to WS #1 suggests. The sheep will love these green pastures. In spite of the fairly dull light the photo has a fine clarity and very pleasant tones of mainly green.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
The weather was not of the best, but I imagine it is pretty typical for this part of Ireland. Notwithstanding, it does not spoil the beauty of the landscape. Excellent rendering of the colours and very good clarity despite the poor light.

Hello Jean,
Excellent and justified promotion for this beautiful Irish landscape.
Fascinating, the white boulders between the dark moss with the yellow flowers. Beautiful contrast between nature and the presence of man.
Excellent presentation
Have a nice day. Groet Rob

Hi Jean,
I lived in Ireland for a couple of years and so I managed to visit also Donegal a couple of times. It is a wonderful place if the weather is nice. Locals told me that all year round: nine days out of ten it rains. So no surprise you got a weather like this...
Beautiful sight though, great reportage,
M
