Photographer's Note
Thought I'd get some more photos from Ireland up on here. I did a whole load of weekend trips this summer and got some reasonable shots.
I was down in Kerry in July with some Friends and we camped out on Valentia Island. On monday morning I could'nt for the love nor money find anywhere that would cook us breakfast (most of the cafés closing on mondays)
We saw a sign for the 'lighthouse café' which ofcourse was also closed but it brought us down this tiny winding road along a savage piece of coastline. I put my hunger aside, jumped out of the car and snapped off this shot before resuming our search.
I've cropped this shot down a little, played a little with the levels and saturation, unsharp mask and added a border.
By the way, in the end we did find food, but it was off the Island at Portmagee on the other side of the Bridge.
(Similar shot Here of the same scenery by TE member Valentia - unfortunetly for me, my shot compares unfavourably! - looks like you got the sunshine Danny!)

Andrew, another great pic. I really like the contrast here and the POV. The clowd on the top right, and the water on the left frame this picture nicely. :)

Hello Andrew,
Very nice shot.
Although you haven't got the sun, the light is really interesting and your composition really good.
Regards. Christian

What do you mean "compares unfavourably" .-)? This is a great shot. Rough sea, low clouds on the hills and lovely tone.
I was on Valentia at the same time. We hardly met in Bostons? This was the same day I was photographing up in Culoo. One of the pics is here.
The way things are going we should have a TE get together on Valentia sometime!

Andrew,
Just found this shot from my native county - fantastic! The image have many layers, leading the eye back towards the mountains. Nice colours and good sharpness, rounded off by the wonderful waves crashing in. I can just smell that sea air!
Thanks for sharing...
