Wide Tagliamento river, a photo from Pordenone, Friuli-Venezia Giulia

Today light was amazing, and for the first time I stopped to shoot pictures from "Dignano Bridge", the bridge the crosses Tagliamento where it is widest.

I love very much this view, but the POV is very dangerous!

The Tagliamento River is a braided river in north-east Italy, flowing from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea at a point between Trieste and Venice. The source is in the Mauria Pass, on the border between the regions of Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. In the upper section, it flows through the historic Carnia region, in the northern part of the province of Udine. In the middle and lower sections, it first sets the boundary between the provinces of Udine and Pordenone and later between the former and the Province of Venice. Finally, it flow into the Gulf of Venice between Lignano Sabbiadoro and Bibione.
The watershed covers an area of 2,916 km? with a population of approximately 165,000. The watershed lies almost entirely in Carnia and the other mountain valleys of Friuli. 86.5% of the watershed is in the Province of Udine.
The main towns along its banks are Latisana and San Michele al Tagliamento. In the vicinity of the river are the following towns: Tolmezzo, Gemona del Friuli, San Daniele del Friuli, Spilimbergo, Casarsa della Delizia, Codroipo, San Vito al Tagliamento.

Hai dato un bel taglio alla foto piena di belle tonalità fredde. Effettivamente questa luce valeva il rischio!

What banks of sand - incredible! Here one truly can see the work of erosion, the Alps are getting smaller and are finally washed away into the Mediterranean. In combination with your note a very interesting contribution in the sense of TE!

Il freddo in questa foto lo si sente fin troppo. Sicura che il primo piano fosse così poco saturato? il cielo è fantastico, mentre sul primo piano mi manca un po' di colore.

Ottima applicazione della regola dei terzi. Su nitidezza e rumore ho fatto un workshop.

in effetti e' vero dopo una giornata di freddo vedere questa foto fa venire i brividi , scherzo .
molto bella con dei bei colori anche se io avrei ridotto un po'
il cielo .

Bella vista del Tagliamento e di questa valle aperta con l'est.
Gli ho sempre attibuito un significato di *grande respiro*.
Nel lontano 1982 rilevai (rilievo topografico) la sezione dell'alveo proprio da questa parti... in grigioverde Sten, s'intende.

Un posto da esplorare isoletta dopo isoletta, tra viste naturalistiche e rottami spiaggiati ne verrebbe fuori un bel numero di foto, comunque a parte il POV pericoloso che immagino sia dovuto al tuo fermare l'auto sul ponte la vista è bella, complimenti Livia.

Livia, this photo could have been taken in central Asia or in Tibet for its so vast, immense scenery and its colours (except maybe for the clouds on the horizon), the POV is great (dangerous ???) and inspiring, complimenti !
