Photographer's Note
When we have a rainy, windy and chilly June weather right now, it is nice to view photos of sunny places, even if they are somewhat old like this one.
The main street in the historical centre of Terracina in Lazio is Corso Anita Caribaldi, big parts of which are belonging to the ancient Via Appia. Along the street there are early medieval age houses and 2 gates to the old city, Porta Maggio and Porta Romana. Porta Maggio was the most important entrance to the ancient city when coming from Rome. The gate arch was demolished at the end of 18th century and only two imposing towers on both sides are left. The towers can be seen on both sides of the opening in the distance.
My other Terracina photos.

Hello Lasse
The charming narrow street. Very nice vertical composition. The stones in the street have a nice sheen. Very good management of light and nice natural colors.
Best regards

Hello Lasse,
a fine and clear composition here which shows a highly caracteristic old street with a strong and lovely Italian atmosphere. Apart from the unavoidable cars (which anyway are part of the Italian landscape) I like everything here. The cobblestones, the long perspective and the distant sight strike favourably one's eys immediately. The sharpness and light management are very good and one can appreciate a lot of interesting details on the façades and the very natural and balanced colours. It's clearly a summer light which gives a fine atmosphere.
TFS,
Donato

Hej Lasse,
Even if this is a photo from early May, it clearly conveys the feeling of a warm summer day (not like early May this year in Italy). Here it actually feels very pleasing ro be standing in the shadow of these old houses, looking through the narrow street onto a beautiful landscape!

Ciao dear Lasse,
it is always pleasant to see Italy with the eyes of the tourist, but also of the good photographer that captures the truest details in the cities. You have captured really a beautiful image of this alley, giving a good depth of field and an excellent sharpness that allows us to also appreciate the smallest details. Compliments!
Ciao, have a nice day!

Hej Lasse,
Sometimes parked cars disturb me terribly, but of ourse they are part of today's life and when they don't really hide anything important - as is the case here - I don't mind them. I am very impressed by how well you have handled what must have been extreme contrasts between sunny and shady parts of this view. Either you have a very good camera or you have made a perfect, and not exaggerated, PP.
Bästa hälsningar,
Gert
