Playing with ceiling, a photo from Bergamo, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

Not a new idea but the ceiling of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore was so beautiful and rich that I couldn't resist doing the classic symmetrical upward look. There are also 2 WS if you have time, in one of which I show the funeral monument to Gaetano Donizetti, it is an imposing marble work made by the Swiss-Italian sculptor Vincenzo Vela (1820-1891) between 1852 and 1855. It is placed at the inside the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Bergamo and since 1875 it has housed the remains of the Bergamo musician Gaetano Donizetti. Non è una nuova idea ma il soffitto della Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore era così bello e ricco che non ho resistito a fare il classico sguardo simmetrico verso l'alto. Ci sono anche 2 WS se avete tempo, in uno dei quali mostro il monumento funebre a Gaetano Donizetti , è una imponente opera marmorea realizzata dallo scultore svizzero-italiano Vincenzo Vela (1820-1891) fra il 1852 e il 1855. È posto all'interno della basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore di Bergamo e dal 1875 accoglie i resti del musicista bergamasco Gaetano Donizetti. Hello Luciano,
The interior of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Bergamo is certainly worth presenting with several photos.
The ceilings in particular appeal to the imagination. You probably have to keep your head back all the time to enjoy their splendor.
Even if you find this a little too excessive, you still come full of admiration.

its always hard to line up all the perspectives in these shots, in post processing it drives me crazy haha. I like the little hint of blues mixed in with the golds. very nice, light and shadow contrasts too. cheers

I am not surprised you stay with this ceiling for longer. Also I like trying new angles but this central symmetry is usually the most efficient way to capture scenes like that.
The result is really very impressive, The level of details is amazing. You have well managed to balance the exposure. The workshop photos are full of nice interior mood as well.

This is not the kind of photo that would interest me much to take myself, among other reasons because I know I couldn't do it properly. But unless I would hurt my neck I would love to study the marvellously decorated details. This roof obviously gave you another opportunity to show your talent for perfectly symmetrical compositions. The exposure is also impressive. Well taken photos in the WS too.
