Photographer's Note

Lake Toblino is located in the Valley of the Lakes above Riva del Garda, in the province of Trento. The structure is built on a small peninsula overlooking Lake Toblino.
The original castle dates back to 1100 when it was owned by the vassals of the Prince-Bishop of Trento. Later it was bought by a noble family and only in the fifteenth century it returned to the bishop property. It belonged to many families in the course of the centuries, but the period when its owner was Bernardo Cles is probably one of the most famous, since he made the castle rebuilt in the Renaissance style. For its position, on a like shore, the castle had been used more as a quiet and relaxing residence rather than a military fort.
