Crete Senesi
The Crete Senesi are a singular setting, almost an island where the sun hits a knock, knocking the ground, blowing the wind unobstructed, the light is blind and the gaze can span everywhere, pursuing distant horizons, delightful lines, unique graphics.
They meet in the southeast area of the city of Siena, which includes the communes of Asciano, Buonconvento, Monteroni d'Arbia, Rapolano Terme, Montalcino and Trequanda, all in the province of Siena.
The name comes from clay, or clay, present in the ground, giving the landscape the characteristic gray-blue color and a lunar appearance. This characteristic clay, mixed with salgem and chalk, called mattaione, is made up of Pliocene sea sediments covering the area between 2.5 and 4.5 million years ago.
The landscape is characterized by hilly, gently rolled hills, bald and whitish hills, oaks and lonely cypresses, isolated farms at the top of the hills, tracts of wood in the valleys, the fountains that collect rainwater.
The area is also known for producing white truffles in the Crete.

Another excellent photograph from this very distinctive region.
The vertical style allows more coverage of the golden field and tends to give a greater sense of depth.
The tree lined path is a perfect guide to the house in the distance.

another sweet look at some landscapes in Tuscany. and just like your other shot, it has a contrast of smooth and rough textures in the land, sweeping motions like a painters brush stroke in some places. Good idea to show it in the tall vertical, I wouldn't have expected that.

Another end-of-summer scenery of the hilly landscape, Silvio.
Very different from the usual green, but the cypress trees stand erect even under this weather. Good visible details, and unique graphics as written.
