Crete Senesi
The Crete Senesi are a singular setting, almost an island where the sun hits a knock, knocking the ground, blowing the wind unobstructed, the light is blind and the gaze can span everywhere, pursuing distant horizons, delightful lines, unique graphics.
They meet in the southeast area of the city of Siena, which includes the communes of Asciano, Buonconvento, Monteroni d'Arbia, Rapolano Terme, Montalcino and Trequanda, all in the province of Siena.
The name comes from clay, or clay, present in the ground, giving the landscape the characteristic gray-blue color and a lunar appearance. This characteristic clay, mixed with salgem and chalk, called mattaione, is made up of Pliocene sea sediments covering the area between 2.5 and 4.5 million years ago.
The landscape is characterized by hilly, gently rolled hills, bald and whitish hills, oaks and lonely cypresses, isolated farms at the top of the hills, tracts of wood in the valleys, the fountains that collect rainwater.
The area is also known for producing white truffles in the Crete.

You managed a wonderful minimalistic composition from these yellow and grey lines along the undulating hills. The view in the upper left corner offers the only slightly different image that the photo needed to remain exciting and captivating. You found great beauty in this simplicity.

credo che Siena sarà la mia prossima gita culturale e fotografica, probabilmente mi toccherà fermarmi nel Chianti e non spingermi fino alle Terre senesi, però....
vedo che l'immagine è il sunto del paesaggio senese, dolci curve di un bel colore Terra di Siena (appunto), grazie,

A close up view of textured land showing its regimented repeating curvy lines and it's particularly striking really give dominance to the eyes and there's a glimpse of scale. Excellent composition harnessing on its inner beauty in natural earthy tones and subtly detailed. Wonderful compo and much to look at. Congrats
