Crete Senesi
The Crete Senesi are a singular setting, almost an island where the sun hits a knock, knocking the ground, blowing the wind unobstructed, the light is blind and the gaze can span everywhere, pursuing distant horizons, delightful lines, unique graphics.
They meet in the southeast area of the city of Siena, which includes the communes of Asciano, Buonconvento, Monteroni d'Arbia, Rapolano Terme, Montalcino and Trequanda, all in the province of Siena.
The name comes from clay, or clay, present in the ground, giving the landscape the characteristic gray-blue color and a lunar appearance. This characteristic clay, mixed with salgem and chalk, called mattaione, is made up of Pliocene sea sediments covering the area between 2.5 and 4.5 million years ago.
The landscape is characterized by hilly, gently rolled hills, bald and whitish hills, oaks and lonely cypresses, isolated farms at the top of the hills, tracts of wood in the valleys, the fountains that collect rainwater.
The area is also known for producing white truffles in the Crete.

Quel rendu sur les champs et vue quelle iamge et cpatage sueprbe avec une chemin dans le petite colline et ces cyprès ces colines au looin avec chaque fois une maison au sommet fantastique décor.

It seems a bit of a landscape of dreams.
The cypresses look wonderful on the ridges.
So does that small road going up and down.

I like the contrast between the rugged textured bg hill and the undulating gully with what almost looks like a raked Zen Japanese sand garden. The textures couldn't be more different. Tfs!

Buongiorno Silvio,
The "waves" pattern of the hilly terrain and the grey color prevailing, gave a special effect upon the landscape scenery.
The cypress trees are clear and distinct sight, 'breaking" the pattern in fine contrast.

what impressed me in this landscape are the irregular areas with these many miniature hills and the areas where the tractors worked and are flat. nice details with the light and cypresses. perfect.
