Sant'Anatolia di Narco
Pleasant village situated on the banks of the Nera River, at 328 m. above sea level, nestled between beautiful mountains.
The origins of this country are not well documented, but it is certain that the presence of the Etruscans in pre-Roman times. Of that era are the finds of pottery and funerary ornaments, now on display at the Archaeological Museum of Florence. The current structure of the city is mainly medieval village surrounded by walls with the fourteenth century, dominated by two towers of the fifteenth century. The thirteenth-century castle is at the heart of the medieval village. The parish church of Santa Anatolia houses a remarkable cycle of frescoes of 1300. '500 To signal the end of the oratory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, which as the first church has in its interior frescoes from various periods. Nearby Sant'Anatolia you can visit the medieval village of Castel San Felice, with the parish church of the same name, a true pearl of the Umbrian Romanesque. In its facade, stone black, open up a rose and two mullioned windows. Inside the church, after all 'single nave and an apse opens, while the transept and' rest on the crypt below the altar, which preserves a sarcophagus of the saint's relics.
Other points of interest of the town is the medieval Castle of Case, with three beautiful frescoed churches, Gavelli, aerie to 1125 meters above sea level with the fabulous parish adorned by frescoes of Spain.
All the territory of a small town, like many other towns in the Nera Valley, is a pleasant blend of natural and artistic beauty, to discover and to enjoy your time, worth an extended stay.

Hello Silvio,
It's a very pretty village and it is beautifully located at the foot of the hillsides. The pov is fine and the photo is well balanced, but I think it would look even better with some adjustments of light and contrasts.

Very pleasant village indeed, the location is certainly the strongest point of it. The subtle fog made the conditions a bit more challenging for you but you overcame them very well.
The fog makes it feel like a scene from a dream.
