Church of San Giovanni Decollato - Trevi (PG)
In ancient times it was called di San Giovanni "de platea", owned by the Municipality that always jealously defended it through the centuries: in 1372 against a concession snatched from Gregory XI by the Augustinian Antonio Pera from Trevano for his Order in order to annex a convent: for which the Municipality forbade the Augustinians to set foot in Trevi and the citizens to sell houses or other things to them; in 1375 against the bishop of Spoleto who demanded a charitable subsidy for it, preventing him from visiting it together with the adjacent hospital; later even against the venerated cardinal Erminio Valenti who wanted to surrender to the Barnabites.

Ciao Caro Silvio,

This is a really well exposed photograph of this quite beautiful church.
I like its simplicity of design, with accents on the geometric ceiling decorations.
The side walls are more ornately decorated but, not overindulged!

Hello Silvio,
This is a quite beautiful church and you managed to create a very good depth. I think this interior looks longer than it actually would appear to the naked eye. The design of the room and the details on the walls enabled you to a perfectly symmetrical photo, and it's also very well exposed.

La longueur de la nef donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'intérieur de l'église San Giovanni Decollato. La lumière rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

splendid interior photo here. I like very much in particular the richly decorated side altars. It is interestingly all decorated predominantly with a white color. Very attractive visually effect.

The aisle provides good linear perspective leading the eye towards the Altar adorned with Doric columns. Good sharpness and well managed interior light levels with soft even lighting. Tfs!

The interior of this church is beautiful, with the two baroque altars in the first part of the nave, the bottom of it elegant with the arch and the two columns that give access to the receptacle of the main altar.
Wonderful colors, soft tones, excellent sharpness and splendid light.
