Monastery and church of Santa Lucia - Trevi (PG)

In the year 1344 a certain Nardulo di Accursuccio to satisfy the desire of his wife Lucia and their daughters who wanted to consecrate themselves to God by living according to an approved Rule, asked and obtained from the bishop of Spoleto, the Florentine Bartolo de Bardis, to transform it into a monastery a set of houses owned by him.
From the name of his wife, Lucia, the Monastery of Santa Lucia and the adjoining church were dedicated to the Syracusan martyr.

The red chair is surprising, but it is a beautiful eye-catcher below the magnificent gilded altar. The entire view shows a remarkably harmonious palette of colours, and you handled the light very nicely.
