Palazzo dei Valenti
The Valenti were the most illustrious family of Trevi
The splendid arched portal with architrave has two masculine faces of classical flavor in the segments in relief (the right one is partly damaged) and, in the jambs within two clypei two rather worn feminine faces (near the right one the dates are graffitied with a point: 1551 and 1556). The elegant windows on the first floor, repeating the scheme of the portal, have in the segments the coats of arms of the Valenti and those of the families with which they were related, starting from the first around the corner towards San Francesco, all the same up to the fifth window; the sixth bears next to the coats of arms, different from the previous ones, the inscriptions: LAELIUS VALENS and OCTA VIA ATTAVANTES; the 7th: LAELIUS VALENS and ORTENTIA THOMA SONA. Inside, a picturesque courtyard with covered staircase, loggia and well, with some framed doors and all with the family crests.

It seems or the entrance because not much use.

This is an impressive gate inside a beautiful frame. The photo has a nice sepia tone which I guess is natural, not created by you. In any case it makes a pleasant impression. The photo is well composed and perfectly sharp.

You only need to look at this impressive doorway to know that it belonged to a rich family. The stone portal is beautifully designed and embellished with sculptures, whilst the door itself, is of the highest quality.
You have framed it skilfully to capture the details with excellent clarity.

very well spotted attractive portal. Fis2 shows so many windows but why not doors!
Interesting effect with almost monochrome mood. It feels like a old style postcard with the brown tones across the frame.

Quite impressive old door. Massive stone frame tells about importance. And the door also has nice decorations. Calm brown tones fit perfectly with TE colour scheme.

A lovely capture portraying the old rustic portal from yester-years and its natural colours as it stands the test of time. The deep brown wooden door draws the eye naturally with immense detail throughout the shot. Excellent shot.
