Well.... Hard light conditions, RAW - original, the main problem was to get rid of those millions, who make pictures of themselves against gondolas:-)))

What an amazing shot. It looks like it's an old fashion photo with new age clarity. It has strong contrast and the waves dancing up on the dock are awsome. I knew I would like this shot the second I saw it. I would love to go to Italy some day soon. Ciao Giuseppe

Great view of the gondolas at Venice Lena. The atmosphere does look stormy and the clouds are quite something - so many shapes. The water splashing against the brick edge is shown well, good timing for you. Well composed and captured, I like it very much. Thank you for sharing.

Lena,
It takes quite a lot to distinguish a gondola photo, but this is unique and well done. The clouds and the water/waves make this special.

Great shot! The choice of black & white is really good, it makes the sky especially striking. It gives the feeling of some storm coming. You are right with the trouble sometimes to make pictures with all the people around. Well, you make it and pretty well! Thank you!

Wow, excellent shot. The contrast is just perfect, the sky amazing, and the water movement well capted. Very good composition with this repetition of boats in foreground. Good work!

Hello Lena. A very moody atmosphere although I think you could have brightened the whole scenery just a bit. The tones are well chosen to create a dreamy environment. I like the dramatic sky, and all the vertical lines (wood sticks) which give a graphical dimension to your photograph.

Personally, I like this darkness, it gives all the ambiance to the scene.

very very good picture here, with the traditionnal gondolas, but exceptionnaly in August, under the storm..the b&w is very good here...i have many pics of Venice in my gallery, but not as dramatic as this one.
