this is a shot taken at the Piazzetta San Marco, or Piazzetta dei Leoncini, Venice. At the foreground, you're able to see the lyon of San Marco and by the left, the statue of Saint Teodoro of Amasea, or "Santodaro" to the Venetians, who is standing on the sacred crocodile of Egypt.

What strikes me is that your wonderful low angle shot does remind me of Canaletto, in a fascinating way... perhaps the light? That magnificient end of the day light? Or the beauty of the scene itself?
At any rate, it is a wonderful shot that brings this jewel of a city to us in a unique and beautiful way.

Hello Mathias,

everything seems to be leaning towards the centre which gives an interesting effect, very pleasing on the eye. The POV is very good with warm, soft colours. Well captured.

Hi Mathis, amazing shot, with a fantastic yellow light over Palazzo Ducale and a good composition.
i think that you cropped out the lower part to cut off the millions of tourist, and in my opinioon the picutre is good also in that way,

Great POV of Venice! I remember these colors coming with the sunset, I remember this petical cloudy sky, I remember all these archtectural details...Very good photo..maybe it leans a bit to the right, but...anyway, what a lovely picture!

Hi Mathias,
Very drammatic view over Venice, with all the buildings leaning thus looking as if any moment they'll just fall down :) Very nice sky, too. Good decision to cut the people and make Venice looking desolate, which is really a mission impossible these days!
