Photographer's Note

Hello Jean
Wonderful scene you have captured here. I like your composition which also includes a great part of the beautiful architecture surrounding the card-playing people. Nice and soft colours which makes a good balance to the people. Good light management. Great job! Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.
Best regards, Erling

This is a great image. It would fit on Nat. Geographyc ! Very spontaneous and nice scene.
The men watching the other players are the perfect touch

Hello Jean.
A very elegant but candid photo, timed well to catch the face of the card player opposite, looking so intense. It's only 10 years ago, but it could be 50! Your photo has a nostalgic, mellow atmosphere about it. I love the subtle colours, not too saturated, and the architecture behind the players is impressive. A beautiful picture, and good scan!
Regards,
Andrew

Both the villa and these men have left their youth behind long ago, yet both seem to age with style. it is a superb shot as both you and we are just flies on the wall, unseen by these men who are engrossed in their game. priceless expressions, including the man furthest from us and his smile. Great tones and light. Really a masterpiece. Bravo Jean. Amicalement, klaudio.

Salut Jean,
a very fine image. The vertical framing shows a lot of the architecture. I've been there two years ago, and they are sitting still playing cards there.
Have a fine day

Bonsoir Jean,

Bravo
