10 years,800th post toTE View Dolomites, a photo from Belluno, Veneto

Photographer's Note

This is the view from Marmolada (3.342m The Queen of Dolomites), in the background can you see the Sassopiatto, Sassolungo and the Sella Group, below the vision of what remains of the Marmolada glacier, that like all the glaciers of the Alps is frighteningly reducing.

This is my 800th post, after 10 years to TE; I thank all members for their support and the sharing of spectacular picture !

Ciao Andrea. Tutto in una notte come si usa dire,10 anni e 800 foto,una lunga carriera su TE anche se con molte pause.Ci hai affascinato con i tuoi paesaggi,sempre pronto a cogliere i migliori scorci nelle migliori condizioni di luce e facendo risaltare anche le differenti condizioni meteo....che dire...questa foto è un concentrato di quello che sai fare,e sono sicuro che la ami moltissimo anche tu.Buona serata,Luciano

My congratulations of your 800 pictures and ten years on TE. It is a pity that recently you appear here rather rarely. and what a magnificent composition this is. Breath taking view of Marmolada and other peaks of Dolomity. Fabulous depth, colours and sharpness. pity to see this state of galciers and the same is every where in the world. Was the hiking here difficult?

Frightening landscape, the decline of alpine glaciers makes me shudder. None of them is still what it used to be. What are we going to leave to our children?

A fitting tribute to your persistence and tenacity! I doubt I'll manage 10 years, with the way TE is going, which appears to be down the pan. But this is a fine image: dramatic and well composed. Nice true colours as well!

questa meraviglia mi era sfuggita, come anche i festeggiamenti per i due traguardi raggiunti, 800 foto e ben 10 anni di servizio su TE.
Non ci siamo frequentati molto, ma ho sempre apprezzato il tuo modo di fare fotografia, spero di vedere più spesso le tue foto.

Hi Andrea,
congratulations on such an impressive gallery both in size and in quality!
I have recently passed 600 and it feels already like along adventure.
Spectacular landscape selected for this occasion.
Amazing point of view which allowed to to take in few layers of the composition. The sky with charming dynamic clouds works very decorative here. Incredible sharpness and clarity.
This is the highest quality photograph and a stunning place!

first of all, congrats on the 10 years on TE, and for the 800th post. we need all the members we can get on this site nowadays :)

the bg subjects play a huge huge role in your photo, that depth really puts it over the top. and the depth area has great quality and clarity too. wonderful views, excellent execution on this one
