The Cypresses ... ..

No, we are not in Bolgheri, even in Tuscany, but in Umbria. The magic of the mist makes it even more sweet hills and surrounds the row of cypresses in a dream where everything is silent. The photo is taken near Casigliano, in the municipality of Acquasparta.

Hello Silvio,
This is an amazing composition. The six trees are placed like an installation of public art and provide a wonderful foreground. The clouds and the mist partly hide the view into the distance but we see that it is a hilly landscape with lovely hat tones. The photo looks almost monochrome in a very elegant way.

i cipressi di Bolgheri sono leggermente più grandi (li ho messi nel ws), però l'effetto di questa campagna grigia interrotta dalle figure compassate degli alberi è molto bella ed efficace alla vista.

Ahhhh stupenda. Che posso dire? Un icone dell'italia, particolarmente dell'Umbria e la Toscana. La luce e' strepitosa, un argento, grigio e nero. Adoro le montagne nello sfondo. La nebbia e' molto suggestive. Una foto di tranqullita' e gran bellezza. Complimentoni...10 e lode!

What a beautiful photo with this silver light filtered through the fog over the slopes of the landscape. The tall trees stand out so beautifully against the grey background. The long shadows in the foreground are a nice detail as well.

The line of cypress trees makes for a lovely graphical composition. But, what strikes most is the beautiful soft light and the air of mystery it creates. A simple composition but a very successful one.

Cypress trees looking as candels, Silvio.
Very low light gave special texture to the scen, yet those trees seem to withstand the winds, that is maybe the reason planted on those hills.
