I love the undulating waves of snow in this scene. They have a sensuous feeling to them, and I can even see the shimmer of individual snowflakes in the foreground. That small, bare tree is perfect for breaking up the shades of white, too. Very nice. :-)

Hello Andrea,

I have never applied the adjective subtle to a photograph but that is the word that came to mind when I looked at your photograph.
I really like how you have used the gentle contrasts of light and shade to define the soft curves of snow and then, added a totally contrasting, spiky image as a focal point.

This is a very interesting and elegant composition. I love the soft curves of the snow and the gentle play of light and shadows. It is not entirely easy to estimate the dimensions but I guess this was taken from fairly close, and that the twigs are quite small. The fine thing is that it could also be a view of large trees from a long distance.

Wow, this is lovely, Andrea. What I like most is that is near impossible to figure out how big it is we're looking at. Are those trees or just tiny bits of plant sticking out from the snow? And what are those bumps?
