A natural white filter, a photo from Milan, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

We saw many photos with the bright colors of autumn, so I thought of something different, taking advantage of the foggy days, typical of the Po Valley where I live. A look up, the colors fade but I really like the atmosphere. Photo taken in the park of Villa Annoni in Cuggiono, like the previous one.
The Park of Villa Annoni di Cuggiono is one of the most important examples of the parks of the Lombard neoclassical era, for extension (23 ha), architectural, botanical and historical-cultural value. The landscaped garden, the vegetable garden and the orchard, the cultivated fields; drawn by rows and the vineyard on the hill, all framed by a natural wood, participated in the aesthetic composition of the park which intended to be a model of the landscape that surrounded it.
Abbiamo visto tante foto con i colori brillanti dell'autunno, così ho pensato a qualcosa di diverso, approfittando delle giornate di nebbia, tipiche della pianura padana in cui abito. Uno sguardo verso l'alto, i colori si spengono ma l'atmosfera mi piace tantissimo. Foto scattata nel parco di Villa Annoni a Cuggiono, come la precedente.
Il Parco di Villa Annoni di Cuggiono è uno degli esempi più importanti dei parchi dell’epoca neoclassica lombarda, per estensione (23 ha), valore architettonico, botanico e storico-culturale. Il giardino paesistico, l’orto e il frutteto, i campi coltivati; disegnati da filari e il vigneto sulla collina, il tutto incorniciato da un bosco naturale, partecipavano alla composizione estetica del parco che intendeva proporsi a modello del paesaggio che lo circondava.

J'apprécie l'effet de la brume sur la scène. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des arbres. Une image qui est relaxante. Bonne soirée.

Bon effet avec cette brume qui donne une intéressante atmosphère avec toutes ces branches, bien les quelques couleurs, du vert aux teintes d'automne pour les feuilles jusqu'aux baies rouges à gauche.

Beautiful autumn composition. The fog creates a beautiful effect. No need for a bright blue sky. A nice detail is a branch with the red fruits on the left side.

Hello Luciano,
The same hazy light as in the last photo but without people or geese. This time we get a closer view of the branches of different kinds of trees. The details and colours are softened by the haze and turned into a beautiful painting.

Large parts of Europe are exactly like this during some days in Fall. The fog does add mood and atmosphere and a nice soft light. We can still see some gold and red leaves on the tree in front of the evergreen. Tfs!

I like misty days, too.
They bring with them an atmosphere of mystery, as well as having a blurring effect on familiar features!
You have still managed to create a good sense of depth by including the slightly clearer bush and the holly berries, in the f/g.

Hi Luciano,
The fog does make the autumn colours quite subdued, but this makes us concentrate on the shapes of the branches and leaves. Good light control and sharpness.

the touch of fog is ever fabulous for photos, but not easy to take in some moments. few days ago I took some photos of my town under the fog and rain. I liked this view with the old trees and the calm and cold mood of the moment.

November can be particularly foggy sometimes, which can also be very attractive. It is a great photo of the branches of different trees, some still with some autumn leaves. Good vertical composition and the silvery light makes the view very beautiful.

The mist has produced a nice effect, hence we get the atmosphere with a natural painterly look and subdued colour where the branches hold the focus.

I don't like white sky, I prefer colorful scenes, but you are right, it is a natural phenomenon and I should see it more like a challenge. You have dealt very well with this challenge here. The tree branches go through the fog nicely with different degree of clarity.
If feels very much like autumn indeed. Almost like in England.

HelloLuciano, a lovely alternative to the bright colours of autumn but still very relevant.
Mists and fog can often be seen this time of year in particular.
I like the strong lines of the branches with the muted colours and shapes of the leaves.

i'm very surprised this shot only has 46 pts, i thought for sure it would be in the 70-80 range. this is really good.
first of all, i like the tall vertical format, and the misty fog is awesome. love how the tree branches are darker and how they stand out. beautifully artistic look to it
