Photographer's Note

This is just a small window, but I like the reflection of the sky over the geranium and the little bell on the left (I don’t know what is/was its use).

The village is very small, it’s an ancient one, very characteristic and with a beautiful view, in the next days I will post some other shots took there.

I envy photographers in your part of the world where ordinary places very often have such charm and beauty. No matter how long I searched I would likely never find such a captivating image as this. Lovely capture and very nicely presented. The colors are well saturated and the image sharp. You can't do better than that.

Thank you for the beautiful reminder of a region I love. I've often said that were I to choose another place to live it would be northern Italy, which is so much like my beloved northern California. The climate, the scenery, the wines...molto bene! But alas, only you have four hundred year old buildings!

I was hoping to see a new photo from you, Alessandra, and here it is :-) And it's a very beautiful one, a colorful and sharp study of different materials and textures. The reflection of the cloudy sky in the small window is indeed a fine treat. The bell with shadow and the brown window shutter are great, too. Looks like a charming place, I'll be checking for your upcoming shots.

Simple composition but very well done. The stones on the wall seem to be of different colors. You've done great with not much.

i don't know how you do it, but you manage to get great subtile colors all the time... and here you even have the strong reds of the geraniums against the deep blue of the sky, and that in a reflection of a window.. thumbs up from from Holland...

Simple but well done; nothing to criticize on this one.
The composition is good, you have many details in the wood and in the wall, the colors are well saturated.
I find that you are making many progresses in a short time, above all in your way to post-process your photos, Alessandra.

I don't know what to say.Wooden framed window on a rockwall was bad enough :) But to get the geranium within the hazy blue glass was simply artistic. Italian has a natural way of aestheticness and getting it. You have my envy Alessandra.

Superb photo from a "normal" scene. The composition is just perfect. The wall is very detailed and you captured it well. Also, the bell and the window are in the right place in the shot. This is also of one the nicest reflections from a window I've seen. Excellent shot and colours.

There are so many wonderful elements in this photo. First of all, it is very well composed. The window provides framing. The color of wall and wood are harmonious, yet the red color of the flower provides beautiful contrast. Finally, the reflection of sky and cloud puts wonderful finish touch.
