Photographer's Note
After some weekends of awful weather, yesterday we finally had a sunny and warm day. I was lucky I was at my boyfriend place in Arezzo, so we took the car and went to Siena surroundings.
This is the same place I photographed last summer. Fields start to become green... Spring... is it coming?
B&w version & print here.

Hello Sabrina! You are early with your spring thoughts but there is hope, there is hope ... hopefully! Stunning image with your pre-spring winter light giving a special mood. I love the fine green moving through your photo, and I guess the grass starts to push a little. Nice the tree line with the little bit of hill side you show us in the back. Very nice indeed, a lot of graphics in it. Have a wonderful Sunday, Barbara.

Hi, Sabrina,
We have just a couple of months to wait for spring:)
It's a very nice landscape with implied vastness of these fields.

Ciao Sabrina!
Ciao, Chiaretta

Hi Sabrina,
Nice and wide! I like it that you choose a compo with only the rolling fields and no sky. Quite daring, since it can get boring - but here you really made it work with those lines in the field and the row of trees in the background!

Hello Sabrina,
I love this unusual perspective of the rolling hills and dales in Sienna, and this one I like better than the version from last summer. The colors, striations in green, the distant rocks, all collaborate to produce a very good photo.
Sabrina, as work on my our book, "Leonardo's Universe," I want to thank you immensely for the help — bringing both the bridge near Arezzo and the Balze Rocks to my attention. The National Geographic evidently had its own photo of the bridge, but used the Balze Rocks image that Mr. Ramari took (those are the ones at the link you sent me).
Ciao,
Bulent

Sabrina,
Great composition on this one, with that extraordinary row of trees. It looks like a painting, perhaps even like a scale model. Quite intriguing.
