Photographer's Note
I am amazed at how few photos of the chapel are on TE. Most photos you see of the chapel center around the "God Creates Adam" by Michelangelo. Here is a view that doesn't get seen often.
The chapel was EXTREMELY crowded at the time this was taken. This is a photo stitch of many photos using Photomatrix, and all photos were handheld.
UPDATE: Much to my embarrassment, I verified that Maria's comment below about no photography allowed in the chapel is indeed correct. Perhaps because of the crowds, the signs stating this were obscured, and many, many people were also taking photos, with no concern from the security personnel.
I never ever knowingly violate a particular location's photography policy.

Hello Don,
I also thought that taking photos was not normally allowed there, but your photo job is quite nice here, not pretending anything - I like that the you haven't cropped the sides of the formats curved by stitching, the darkening of the edges does the thing well.
One would need to spend hours in the chapel alone to absorb the beauty, the crowds that are always there are really disturbing. Thanks for reminding me the feeling of being there.
Best regards
Romana
