12 years on TE, 800 photos!
That may not be worth a mention in the Guiness Book, but it`s more than I could have thought about in 2006.
I chose for today's upload one of the oldest pictures I could find in my scan-archives, showing a happy man, dancing to the music of a street organ, once very common in the Netherlands.

12 Jahre bei Trekearth, das hätte locker für mehr als 4000 Fotos gereicht, und soviele habe ich mindestens!
Aber mir wird es zwischendurch immer mal langweilig, und brauche ich eine Pause von TE. Ich finde es schwer, hier einen Dialog in Gang zu halten, was natürlich auch daran liegt, dass ich nicht flüssig englisch schreiben kann, um meine Texte interessant genug zu machen. 20 Kritiken an einem Tag habe ich noch nie geschafft, denn dann wäre gar keine Zeit mehr für etwas Anderes.

A happy, beautiful and positive pic. The man expresses a kind of joy and happiness that I really like. I like also the background (the van) that gives some energy/speed/direction to the picture.

You earn another congratulation... After winning the Challenge you must be felicitated for 12 years on TrekEarth and 800 photos, this is a great achievement!
Hum... September 1972? I was just married for one month! :) Time flies! ;)

Your tightly framed photo gives a very nostalgic atmosphere and the choice of B&W is just perfect!

Hello Elvira,
I hope that your next long absence from TE will not come very soon. I like your phots, so I want to see more of them. This is a kind of classic B&W shot that could be found in old photo books or museums. I think Cartier-Bresson would have given it his approval. Very nicely timed by a very young photographer and excellently scanned.

This is a very tasteful dip into the past to celebrate your 12th anniversary on T.E. Congratulations! 🍻 (From your previous notes, I believe you are more partial to beer than wine.)
The memories of street organs is quite nostalgic, whilst the uninhibited performance of the lone dancer is delightful.
It's a very sharp and attractive photograph.

This is a great oldie! The man, and the organ behind him, have a lot of character. I also like the front of the VW vehicle speeding by on the right. It's a high-quality photo and scan.
