Photographer's Note

Castle De Haar is located near Haarzuilens, in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands. The current buildings, all built upon the original castle, date from 1892 and are the work of Dutch architect P.J.H. Cuypers, in a Neo-Gothic restoration project funded by the Rothschild family.

Hello Georg,

This is a spectacular photo of the Castle De Haar, with its wide moat. I'm surprised such a structure dates not to 15th-16th centuries, but to the 19th. The reflected light shimmering in the waters of the moat raises the photo to the level of a first rate architectural portrait, especially with the two-point perspective you've chosen.

cześć Jurek, Pojawiasz się, potem znikasz na długi czas. Ale znów jesteś i to z jakim wspaniałym zdjęciem. Nie taki stary ten zamek, ale dobrze udaje. Fantastyczne polozenie na wodzie, jak statek. Pieknie skomponowane zdjecie ze złotym odbiciem. Cudowne światło.
