Photographer's Note
A view on Mauritshuis, the Hofvijver (pond) and the Little Tower (our PM's office, the small tower a bit right of the middle), shot around 22:00 hrs in a beautiful quiet and slightly cold April-night. Another shot with my Nokia N73 cameraphone.
What Wiki says:
The Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis is a museum in The Hague, the Netherlands. Previously the residence of count John Maurice of Nassau, it now has a large art collection, including paintings by famous Dutch painters such as Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Jan Steen, Paulus Potter and Frans Hals and works of the German painter Hans Holbein the Younger.
The architects of the building were Jacob van Campen and Pieter Post.
The Mauritshuis was a state museum until it was privatised in 1995. The foundation set up at that time took charge of both the building and the collection, which it was given on long-term loan. This building, which is the property of the state, is rented by the museum. The Mauritshuis is one of the most prominent museums in the Netherlands and intends to maintain its high standing. The museum collaborates regularly with outstanding museums in other countries.

Hey Lieke,
Groeten! Dennis
