Photographer's Note
Today a shot from a few years ago, captured at the Keith Haring "The political line" expo in Rotterdam Kunsthal. (a museum with only temporary expositions).
One of the remarkable things of the Haring expo was to be able to see the great diversity of materials Haring worked on / with. For instance the hood of a NY yellow cab covered with permanent marker, shown here. And no, the man with the cap isn't trying to to take the deformation of the hood a step further ;-)
Haring's work has become an integral part of the world's big and heterogeneous family of (neo-)modernist visual languages. And through the way it's commercially (re)presented, his work nowadays has lost much of its layered symbolism and political meaning. The KunstHal expo facilitated the viewer to (re)connect with this. Although the 'white wall' museal context was in a way alien to his work, it was rarely objectionable.
Shot with an exposure of 1/3 seconds, hence the expressive motion blur here.

Hello Bert,
This is the kind of museum photo I like, even more so with the larger version clickable. Eye-catching art and interesting visitors and good connection between them. In this case I find the presence of "ghosts" entertaining. I think at least one of your fellow countrymen will enjoy this. ;-)
Regards,
Gert

Hallo Bert,
Mooi werk.

Hi Bert, great idea to show something from an art exhibition in a very original and different way. A long exposure to create 2 ghosts with the visitors while the sharpness is perfect obviously on the still artworks. Lovely memory from your archive,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Goedenavond Bert,
DE twee mensen bewegen in het beeld.
Maar zijn een goede toevoeging en brengt animatie in beeld.
Mooi gevonden Bert, bedankt om te delen.
Groeten uit Vlaanderen in de mist,

Hello Bert, a very interesting shot with good focusing on the artwork. The ghost-like figures add another dimension, a new way to photograph art viewers.
You chose a good corner that enables us to see a nice sample of Haring's work.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hallo Bert, nice scene captured inside an art expo room. The visitors admire the sculpture and paintings. They appear blurred because they were moving. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Dag Bert,
Mooi gebruik van de bewegingsonscherpte. De verschillende werken van Haring maar allemaal in geel staan er prachtig op

Hello Bert, I saw Keith Haring mural Tutto Mondo in Pisa, and in Barcelona in Macba. His style is easily recognizable. The paintings are like taken from comic books, the yellow piece of art is the most interesting. Amusing view of the ghosts.
Kind regards MAlgo

Hi Bert,
Interesting photo about this exposition, well presented with these visitors with ghostly silhouettes, it lets the eye focus on the artist's works, well seen and made this photo.

Hi Bert
Back on TE? Nice to see you again!
This is the kind of picture I take when visiting museums or exhibitions: the interaction between the people and the master pieces, the long exposure gives life to the iamge.
Well done!

Hello again Bert,

Hello Bert,
The motion blur is almost as important as the clear, sharp exhibits.
It says symbolically that one is there permanently (well for the exhibition), the other is transitory.
It's a well worked composition, too.
The figure on the left reminds me of the matchstick men of Lowry paintings.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
