Photographer's Note
today i was a weak sucker for this yellow-fellow...
Took this photo yesterday during a visit of a projectground in development... it's gonna be a beautiful park someday but first there's gonna be a parking-place for the workers...
Today they've covered this brave little soldier with asphalt and i think it's already dry...

this is a very sweet image Jorrit. Sad, too but maybe this little flower will emerge in some form in the part-to-be. I like the partial blurriness, great cropping and frame.

Love the postbox cropping. It makes the little fellow look, as you said,...... brave.

Hi Jorrit, very delicate picture, good DoF, it's all so clear, the sand , and the other small plants. I love it, good frame too,

Wow...real cool perspective Jorrit! Wonderful how your angle and the panoramic view increases the idea you tried to give...Great job :)

Great use of depth of field to isolate the subject. This is not a 'typical' Leica shot and I am impressed that you got so close to the ground to focus the camera. The postbox format also emphasises the isolated nature of the flower.
Only slight - very tiny, minor - issue is that the black border to the left is slightly wider than the right. But that would really be picking at an excellent picture. Also, the picture could be rotated slightly clockwise to bring the in-focus portion to the level and reduce the white lump in the foreground, though not too much that the plant leans to the right.

Quelle jolie composition Jorrit. Le regard porte automatiquement sur la fleur. Bonne profondeur de champs. Nice shot.

Terrific presentation and when matched with the notes it's as if the flower is defiant with the asphalt closing in from top and bottom. Funny, we don't think much about what happens but your image asks the question is this flower not important?

Very very nice artistic photo Jorrit! I really love the frame, the colours and the contrast with the blurred side.
Congratulations!

Hey Jorrit,
it's very strange to see a shot like this from you, you are really getting soft! ;-D
I'm joking this is a beautiful image with a sweet note, but not too sweet!
