Photographer's Note
The mountain Roedoeyloeva has the shape of a lion - thus the name directly translated to "Red Island Lion". Kenneth and Guri, presently living in Oslo, paid us a visit in Mo i Rana June 16-18th. We traveled 2,5 hrs to the Island community of Roedoey from Mo i Rana. After one week of rain Saturday lit up and gave us a fantastic trip to this mountain rising 440 m above sea level. After eating lunch on top of this rock we walked down again noticing that our resting place was hanging outside this steep wall...

It looks like an amazing place, the shapes of those islands are very unusual. I think your shot has done this place justice; the composition is excellent and the people provide a much needed sense of scale to the scene.
Good work.

Magnifique vue, le cadrage aurait encore pu être améliorer en supprimant la seconde personne de la vue et en faisant disparaitre la roche en bas sur le premier plan.
Cela aurait donné une impression de solitude et de plus grand vide.

Hi Lars,
What a view! This picture traduces a feeling of liberty. The POV is great, and empahsizes the altitude of the mountain thanks to the man on the top right corner.
A great shot!

Hallo Lars!
What a breathtaking point of view over a landscape as well. You can see very well the work of glaciers in the Ice Age. The twinkle of the surface of the sea works very well. I think, in Norway there are many, many of those points of view. A really outstanding picture! Thank you for showing this!
Greetings from Germany!

Hi Lars,
I'm in love with the norwegian coast (5 trips on board the hurtigruten) and your picture is a concentrate of this coast : mountains, islands, reefs and maginificent light.
I prefer your composition than the prospere's WS.
Very well done

This picture was taken 3 days after I was in the aera. The night from June 13th to June 14th, there was even a terrible storm with lots of wind. On June 15th (which was also my birthday), I took the ferry from Bodo to Moskenes and I was sick (as nearly everybody on the ferry) because the sea was very heavy!
Anyway, this nice to see that rock and you had lots of courage to climb it!
About the picture, I like to see the person on the top. Bravo!

It is a fascinating picture. The lion looks beautiful. The magnificence of the lion, and its place above the sea at a certain height, looking to the horizont describes even so the characteristics of the animal king. Thanks a lot for this amazing photo.

Hello Lars,
This is a spectacular shot, displaying exquisite composition and exquisite exposure. The Red Island Lion is clear and well named. That looks like a serious drop to the shoreline below. I've made a number of visits to the wondrous Norwegian coast, especially the fjords, while giving lectures on ships, and it features some of the most beautiful natural sites in the world.
Warm regards,
Bulent
