Standard chop and proparbly the most advanced move to perform in the Kobudo sword school "Tenshin Shoden katori Shinto Ryu"
Photo was taken during an extra training session one sunday in June.

The two people here are at the start of 1st. kata, Ikajo, Itsutsu no tachi.
The practitioners in this shot is:
Floyd, he is the one facing the camera. In this situation he is acting as the teacher side of the kata, Uke.
Kjell, the one with his back to the camera, he is acting the pupil side of the kata, Kirikomi.

It is cool that Japanese martial arts and traditions are popular around the world, such as being practiced in Norway in your photo.

Focus is a bit soft, but I like your composition and perspective. It looks a bit like a 'mirror' image (something Sabyasachi already said, hehehe).

Interesting pic, and nice note.
