Rural Churches [1]

Churches are among my favourite subjects for photography, for several reasons. Architecture is one thing, history another. Besides, many of them are very photogenic!

Lately I have always stopped when passing a church on my travels in Central Norway. The result is quite a few churches represented in my image files, and I intend to share a few… All subject as seen with my eyes, of course!

Starting here with a small church located in the village of Ler some 30 km south of Trondheim. This church is serving the local community, mainly consisting of the surrounding farmland in addition to the village. The church seats 150 persons, it is built in timber and was finished in 1794.

Name in Norwegian: Flå kirke.
