The same day at the track, I got a closer photo of one of the horses as it passed. This was shot just before the race.

Again, I appologize for the white sky.

Hi Halgeir, great action shot. It looks a fraction over-exposed and, in my opinion, you could crop tighter and lose the horse at the extreme right edge of the photo for a stronger composition. Impressive. Best wishes, Paul.

An excellent POV for this horse.
I know you have commented about the white sky, but I guess we sometimes can't avoid overexposing certain parts of a photo.
Once again, POV is great and I must say I like this one better than the other one.

Hi Halgeir,
Allowing for the problems with the sky, the rest of this pic isn't so bad. You've been very accurate with your panning so the subject is nice and sharp and the colours although they could benefit from a slight increase in saturation, are still quite acceptable. I feel that a small increase in saturation would help too but, for a scanned pic, it's pretty good. One change that I would DEFINITELY have made would be to crop away the horse on the right border - possibly going further to so that this pic followed (as near as practical) the 'rule of thirds'. I feel that doing that would have enhanced the dynamic effect considerably.
One thing I really DO like is that you got nice and close to the action. It's the best place to be! :)
