Reine revisited, a photo from Nordland, Nord

Photographer's Note

I have already posted a similar photo, here is the broader view. I climbed several hills to have the views from above. I went without paths, on the grass and the flat stones it was easy. There are hiking trails going higher, but being alone I was afraid to go. This vantage point is my "discovery". I haven't seen the photos of Reine made from here, not only on TE but also in Internet. i liked the waves made by the small bat in matching colours.
I will upload a panoramic view, just to test how it would look like.

Hello Malgorzata,
I guess, visiting the rough coast of Norway means a lot of climbing to get the best views. This is a great photo of the town, there is a lot to see and I especially like the small island and the boats in the water between the two parts of the town.

This is no doubt a very beautiful view, and even on a slightly grey day the light and colours are excellent. I could watch this photo a long time for all the small details. The panorama is also a very impressive photo.

Yes, I remember the other picture. Here we see Reine in a wider view and its surroundings look spectacular.
Good that you show us different views.
The one in the workshop is also very interesting. There we can find the sea at both sides of the island. What a narrow passage!

Witaj Malgo
You truly have discovered a great vantage point to view Reine here. It epitomizes the beauty of the place perfectly. The colors of summer on the Lofoten are superb too, so different from March when we visited. The weather seems to have been typical Lofoten, overcast and grey. But then the nice red of the cottages more than compensates for that.
Again, a superb overview over Reine.

this is what I want to do when we revisit Lofoten in the future, visit in the summer months to do some hiking.

the more views you show us the more I like it, these are great views and I enjoy seeing the grass on the mountains.

Sorry again for not posting shots...i now how a broken hand, I fractured a bone in my right hand...its hard to type.

Hello Malgorzata,

A superb high pov with good sharpness and amazing repetition of the little fishing homes. Reminds me of Kotor in Croatia. Good natural saturation and color with a pleasant diffused light. The fg rock adds depth and layering. Tfs.

Beautiful pov to get a great perspective of this scene! I like the wake of the boat making ripples on an otherwise calm water. Good lighting in spite of the cloudy day and good details. Well done, tfs.

this is a beautiful place and looks so peaceful as well. It feels so still that the movement of the boats and the ripples on the water seem surprising. I like very much the perspective and the sense of space and think I prefer this composition to the panoramic one. The details and the colours are very well rendered, agreeable and captivating.
