Photographer's Note

Flåm is a village on the southern end of Aurlandsfjord. Nowadays it is along the E16 main road between Oslo and Bergen. But until late 1990's, before building tunnels between Flåm and Gudvangen it was practically the end of the road.
Flåm is also the lower terminus of the famous Flåm railway. Within the distance of 20 km the railway line descends from Myrdal at 866 m above sea level to Flåm at sea level.
