Photographer's Note

On National Day, May 17 I went to a place named Aunegrenda which is located in a mountain area around 120 km from Trondheim in Central Norway. At this altitude they still had snow in the vicinity, and the fields were brownish after the winter when I visited.

To my surprise I found out they have a chapel in the neighbourhood, surprising since I later experienced the official number of inhabitants in Aunegrenda is 65…

Aunegrenda Chapel was finished in 1952, and can seat 120 persons. I guess they were optimistic about the future population development 55 years ago…
