Photographer's Note

I move now to one of the most popular European city break destinations, Krakow. Even though this is my 10th photo from Krakow on TrekEarth I have not used the title “postcard from…” before.

I spent in Krakow 5 years of my life. I graduated from the Jagiellonian University (established in 1364). If I ever move back to Poland, Krakow would be my favourite place to live, even though it is infamous for the polluted air.

In this photo you see a fragment of the Main Market Square, which is supposedly the largest medieval town square in Europe (Wikipedia). The lovely church in the left is St Mary’s Basilica, in the right you see a fragment of the Cloth Hall, which actually marks the centre of the Market Square.
