Photographer's Note

In my view these illuminated 'animals' are example for tasty and stylish Christmas decoration (unlike the WS of my previous photo). Taken at the Gubałówka, above the city. In the background you can see the Krupówki (the main street of Zakopane) and the Kasprowy Wierch (The Kasparow Peak) in the far distance.
Please find other animals in the WS!

Not your typical scene I guess, or am I just so used to see people in your shots? its kind of a funny looking scene bc the animal seems to be standing in a protective type of stance, guarding the city. If and when I ever return to Poland, I want to hike some of the trails in Zakopane. cheers

Hello Gy,

You have followed up your first 'Christmas scene' with this, which I agree, is much more subtle and very beautiful.
You have composed the illuminated reindeer very strongly in the frame and have given it huge character. It appears to be completely in charge, viewing the vast horizon.
I love the scene, the clarity and the inference.
Your w/s are pretty good, too!

Hi Gyorgy,i recognize very well the place despite is completely different comparing the green view of summer of my gallery. Magnificent capture of Christmas lights from Gubalowka,the choice of the moment of this late blue hour is a winner,2 beautiful pics in the WS but the quality isn't the best comparing with the main. Hello György,
No doubt the main photo is the best. It's a nice combination of Christmas decorations, city view and impressive nature. You handled the contrasts between the brightly illuminated foreground and the relative darkness of the surroundings very well. In the the other photos the decorations become a bit kitschy, according to my personal taste. (I find most Christmas decorations a bit kitschy.)

Indeed completely other but you must look out of the eyes of the artist.
Nice panoramic picture with a very quiet atmosphere

I like these animals made of tiny lightbulbs, as you say, they more tasteful than the decorations in your previous upload WS (although I love the photo of two balconies, it should be an upload in its own right).
This photo is very beautiful for the mixture of man made and ambient light and complementary colours. I also like the way bright Krupowki leads to the snow-capped picks on the horizon.
Great shot, a fav for me!
