The San is a river in south-eastern Poland, a tributary of the Vistula river, with a length of 433 km (6th longest Polish river) and the basin area of 16,861 km² (14,390 km² in Poland). The San rises in the Carpathian Mountains near the village of Sianky, Ukraine, and forms the border between Poland and Ukraine for approximately its first 50 km.
