Photographer's Note

While waiting for the blue hour in the beautiful town of Ostrow Wielkopolski, I have witnessed a moment when the last rays of the warm sunshine touched the fragment of façade of the co-cathedral of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr. I have presented a photo of this church taken in the blue hour almost exactly three years earlier:

Since few years I record photo files in the RAW format, which offers incredible processing opportunities. Ironically, the original default processing is sometimes very impressive but when I start improving it, I lose some aspects. For example, I wanted to soften the strong warm colors caused by the setting sun, and indeed I managed to get more details out of the façade but by doing so I may have lost the actual feeling of the sunset. One cannot have everything.
