The wooden church of st. Nicholas in Gostyczyna existed from the thirteenth century, rebuilt in the sixteenth century into a brick one.

Gostyczyna is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowe Skalmierzyce, within Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 25 km east of Ostrów Wielkopolski.

First thing noticed here were the vivid colors of the picture, Krzysztof.
The edifice actually is wooden made, only by reading the note I compreneded this for a fact.

It's a slightly strange church, but the strong colours make it quite attractive. Red and orange really stand out in these green surroundings. But I would never have guessed it was made of wood.

teraz o wiele latwiej byc po sasiedzku niz kiedys bo o wiele mniej zdjec ludzie wklejaja.
Alez piekna pogoda, u nas leje juz ktorys tydzien. Chociaz widze ze Twoje zdjecie tez archiwalne.

The warm tan façade of this quaint church, and its red tiled roof, contrast superbly with the blue sky to give a terrific warm cold colour contrast. Good sharpness and density levels. Tfs!

Poland has many wonderful wooden churches.
In that sense, I am a little disappointed that it was not rebuilt in wood. Yet this result is also very successful.
Beautiful front facade.
Presented from a good angle.
The colours of the facade and roof make the church stand out well in its green surroundings.
