Photographer's Note
I wonder whether I should add this photo to the category “humorous”? But it is not necessarily funny.
First of all, Poland has the access to the sea, it is the Baltic Sea, and the coast has amazing white sand beaches. Fine clean sand, shallow waters, a bit cold but in the summer warmer than the North Sea would ever be. The coast is amazing but sadly it is known to everyone in Poland so the coast is extremely busy in the summer. This year because many people decided not to go abroad it was even more busy than usual.
There is a very interesting aspect of the beachgoing culture in Poland which I wanted to present here. Almost everybody is using beach screens. It does not matter if it is windy. The beach screens are used instead to mark the territory than to protect from the wind. There was no wind on the day I took this photo and yet it was hard to navigate between the beach screens. There would be nothing wrong about it, but I noticed that too many people stretch their beach screens to mark quite a large surface area, which could accommodate many people, and in the result, there is no space left for others. I was not bothered too much about it because I usually arrive on the beach in the morning when all typical beachgoers are asleep yet. At that time, I can place my blanket wherever I want and enjoy an empty beach. I never use the beach screens because in my opinion they are obstructing the view and may disturb other people.

Hello Mariusz,
No, this isn't funny. Much too crowded!
However, Poland has a fairly long coastline.
I'm really surprised that you say that the Baltic Sea is warmer than the North Sea. Of course I live in a country bordering the south of the North Sea. That might make some difference to Northern England I think.
You show us a very colourful beach scene here.
This beach deserves an award for the versatility and the colours of the windscreens. The actual intention of the beachgoers is of course less beautiful.
In a way, this is a humorous photo. A sad one at the same time.
Rowy will never be my holiday destination :)
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz,I would not have thought of seeing so many people on a Polish beach, in my mind there is always the feeling that the water is always freezing ... hehe ... really an interesting scene, even here i can see the effect of the pandemic which, as in Italy, led the local inhabitants to spend their holidays in their homeland. Very curious all these enclosures, it seems a struggle for the conquest of the territory even if there is no wind. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Mariusz
For someone from Australia it is a humorous scene with all those beach screens. I also saw lots of them on the beach at St Ives in Cornwall. It certainly isn't a spot for body surfing or surf board riding.
A good one of people relaxing.
cheers

Hello dear friend
This is the first time I see
a scenery like this one...
it is not the beach which is
extremely busy in the summer
but there are the beach
screens which are used instead
to mark the territorythan to protect
from the wind...At first I thought
that this was used to protect
everybody of them from covid 19
isnt it????but me personally
I do not like a beach like this
one with so many people creating
noise and trouble...
thanks for the sharing
regards
Costantino

Hello Mariusz,
Your notes are very interesting; as you note, I have never seen others marking their territory, like this.
My first impression was one of a fairground! The colours are so bright, so vivid and so closely packed! Again, the people are closely packed.
It is a sharp, well composed photograph, clearly revealing the atmosphere on this beach!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Witaj Mariusz
You would never see a scene like this in Australia. The beach is considered to be public property. Not even umbrellas or deckchairs. Strictly byo. A colourful scene with good sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz, an excellent observation on human behaviour when it comes to using the beach.
Some enterprising company has obviously got a roaring trade in designing and marketing the screens.
I think that it would be like a maze attempting to get across the beach.
Thanks for sharing this interesting scene.
Kind regards, Jean.

Pozdrav.
lep pogled, interesantan tekst ...
Lepa plaza i ograde posetioca, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Velika guzva na plazi, mora da se pazi gde se hoda.
Lepa scena na plazi.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje.

Hello Mariusz,
It was a really crowded beach, but it looked like a beautiful day as well. The many colourful screens look really nice, especially with all the beachgoers in between.

each people with its usage. I guess I never had seen such "walls and ramparts made of fabric", I thought it was because the cold wind, but as you told you it is because to make this space a "private property" for while. nice and funny image

Hi Mariusz,
Not my choice of a beach on such busy time, but that makes an interesting picture for sure. Very busy and quite colourful. I haven't seen such screens before. That looks good when you are standing up and see over the screens. But from the sand level they are obstructive.

Hi Mariusz,
When I think of Poland I don't think of beaches! But it has a coastline, and therefore beaches. The beach screens might be annoying, but they really add a lot of colour to your photo. As with most European beaches, very few people are swimming.
