Mariacki Church in Gdansk - the largest brick Gothic church in the world!

Dominating the city’s skyline is the Gothic Church of the Most Holy Virgin Mary, commonly called St. Mary’s Church or the Mariacki Church. The Church was built in several stages between 1343 and 1502 and stands today as the largest brick Gothic church in the world, at a height of 76.6 meters. Standing in front of the tower, one has the impression that the church is so massive that it’s sinking into the ground, or that it has its own gravity. Interestingly, the tower has a flat top, rather than a spire - this is said to accommodate a gentle giant named Stolem who sometimes visited the city and needed a place to sit!

Bardzo udany poczatek. Imponujacy budynek, wspania³e, "ciezkie" niebo.
Pieknie sfotografowane, a zdjecie dobrze 'obrobione'.

Hej,

To zdjecie tez jest dobre,
w pierwszej chwili chcialem jednak zrobic "workshop", ale juz mnie ubiegl capthaddok... wiec nie bede sie powtarzal
Troche mi faktycznie brakuje kontrastu.

Mysle, ze moglo by tez byc interesujace w B&W po podniesieniu poziomu kontrastu i ntensywnosci.

Cze¶æ Macieju!
Nie bêdê siê wdawa³ w techniczne dywagacje o lepszo¶ci kontrastu itd...Dobrze uj±³e¶ monumentalizm wie¿y ko¶cielnej,widaæ potêgê gotyckiej architektury,nawet te ciê¿kie chmury,nie zachwia³y jej wielko¶ci.To mi siê podoba.Dobra praca.

Witaj na TE Macieju :)
Znany widok, ale jak¿esz ³adny jest ten "nasz" Ko¶ció³ Mariacki i fajnie, ¿e go nam przypomnia³e¶. £adne ujêcie, piêkne niebo, kolorki te¿ niczego sobie ;). Mo¿e tylko trochê nale¿a³oby zwiêkszyæ kontrast i rozja¶niæ, ale i tak jest OK...
