Funchal, Fortaleza do Pico.

Après une rude montée par la Calçada de Santa Clara, la Fortaleza do Pico sonne comme une récompense. Personne sur le site et un beau panorama sur la ville ont suffi à notre bonheur.

La Fortaleza de São João Baptista do Pico, ou plus communément Fortaleza do Pico a été construite en 1600 sur le Pico dos Frias pour protéger la ville des attaques de corsaires.

Quirky, funny, well-seen and composed. Why funny I'm not sure, but they made me smile. Maybe it's the mad hair-dos. Nice warm colours too.

Very nice minimalist composition, simple idea and amazing effect, good contrast of the the flowers with the yellow wall. I think these twins have got a lot of sisters and brothers on the lift and the right sides too ;)

This is a wonderfully simple but attractive photo with a fine symmetry. All colours match each other perfectly. I also like the slightly worn texture of the wall and the neat square shape of the photo.
